Ingredients
1 lb rigatoni cooked and drained
2 jars spaghetti sauce 24 ounces each
1 pound ground beef or 1 pound sausage or half and half
3 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese divided into 1 1/2 cups and 2 cups
1/2 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp fresh basil
1 1/2 cups ricotta cheese
salt & pepper to taste
Directions
- Large mixing bowl, mix together cooked rigatoni, spaghetti sauce, browned ground beef, 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, Italian seasoning, and parmesan cheese.
- Put mixture into a 9×13 casserole dish and top with remaining mozzarella cheese.
- Bake at 350F for 25 minutes, until warm and cheese is bubbly and melted.
- *Optional…If using a broiler safe dish, turn on the broiler the last couple minutes to brown cheese, but watch closely so it doesn’t burn.
