Ingredients

  • 1 lb rigatoni cooked and drained

  • 2 jars spaghetti sauce 24 ounces each

  • 1 pound ground beef or 1 pound sausage or half and half

  • 3 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese divided into 1 1/2 cups and 2 cups

  • 1/2 tablespoon Italian seasoning

  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

  • 1/2 tsp fresh basil

  • 1 1/2 cups ricotta cheese

  • salt & pepper to taste

Directions

  • Large mixing bowl, mix together cooked rigatoni, spaghetti sauce, browned ground beef, 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, Italian seasoning, and parmesan cheese.
  • Put mixture into a 9×13 casserole dish and top with remaining mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake at 350F for 25 minutes, until warm and cheese is bubbly and melted.
  • *Optional…If using a broiler safe dish, turn on the broiler the last couple minutes to brown cheese, but watch closely so it doesn’t burn.
