Creamy Sausage Tortellini

This is a recipe the whole family will love. Enjoy beef, sausage, spinach, tomatoes, cream cheese and tortellini in a creamy Italian season sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef

  • 1 pound Italian sausage

  • 1/2 small diced onion

  • 2 ounces frozen spinach

  • 28 ounces canned diced tomatoes with juice

  • 8 ounces cream cheese cubed

  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning

  • 3 cups chicken broth

  • 1/4 cup tomato paste

  • 16 oz tortellini

  • 1 cup parmesan cheese

Directions

  • Brown beef and Italian sausage with the onion until no pink remains. Drain fat.
  • Place all ingredients except the tortellini and parmesan cheese in a slow cooker.
  • Cook 3 hours on low or until heated through, stir until sauce is smooth and cream cheese is blended well.
  • Boil the tortellini according to package directions.
  • Put tortellini in slow cooker and carefully mix well to blend all flavors. Cook for 30 minutes.
  • Serve. Top with parmesan cheese, enjoy!
