Ingredients
Skinless Boneless Chicken Breasts 2.5 lbs., uncooked
1 oz. packet of ranch seasoning mix
8 oz. cream cheese (softened)
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
6 slices of bacon (sliced, cooked and grease drained).
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (If you’re like me, you always add a little extra cheese. Use all the cheese you want)
1/4 cup sliced green onions
Directions
- Add the chicken breast to a slow cooker (4 quart or larger). Evenly sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix over the chicken. Then place the cream cheese on top of the seasoning mix.
- Cover and cook on low for 7 hours or high for 4 hours without opening the lid during the cooking time, until the chicken easily shreds.
- Shred the chicken in the slow cooker. Stir in the cream cheese and the bacon. Spread the mixture into an even layer so you can evenly top with cheese. Place the lid back on the slow cooker and cook for approximately 8-10 minutes, until cheese is melted and food is cooked through.
- Sprinkle the green onions evenly over the top.
- Serve over potatoes, rice, sandwich rolls or by itself.
Notes
